"Viewing Only" (Video Gallery)

Plain English Version

A “Viewing only” licence allows you to:

  • View the content online
  • Share the content by link, or through the use of embedding technology.
  • Download the content and use it, in whole or in part, for educational purposes only.

A "Viewing only" licence does not allow you to:

  • Remix, re-purpose or alter the work in any way.

Licence Terms

1. When you access content marked "Viewing Only" licence, you accept a limited non-exclusive licence to:

(a) provide a link to the Licensed Content either through the use of embedding technology or via a standard HTML link and display/communicate the link to the world, (b) copy, upload and download the selected Licensed Content; and

(i) incorporate of the Licensed Content in part or in its entirety into other materials; and

(ii) distribute, communicate, publish, perform and display the Licensed Content to the world – for any educational purpose during the term of the licence.

2.ACMI may terminate these licences at any time without giving any reason for doing so.

3. You agree to indemnify and keep indemnified ACMI and any such licensee of ACMI against any liability, costs (including legal costs), claims, actions and damages
arising from a breach by you of this licence or from any representation or warranty made by you being untrue or from use of the Licensed Content in accordance with the terms of this Licence or any sub licence.

4. This licence is governed by the laws of Australia.

 

"Creative Commons Attribution – Non Commercial" (Free Media Library)

ACMI uses a “Creative Commons Attribution – Non Commercial” licence for the use of content from its Free Media Library resources.

 A “Creative Commons Attribution – Non Commercial” licence does allow you to:

•    View content online in the Free Media Library
•    Download, remix, alter and re-use the content or part of the content in your own creative work for educational and other non-commercial purposes.
•    Share the content by copying, distributing and communicating the content in public or private

A “Creative Commons Attribution – Non Commercial” licence does not allow you to:

•    Sell or financially profit in any way from the use of the content or any part of the content
•    Use the work in any way without attributing the original creator of the content.

When you access content (the Licensed Content) marked "Creative Commons Attribution – Non Commercial”, you accept a limited non-exclusive licence in accordance with the full licence terms for a Creative Commons Attribution - Non Commercial 3.0 Australian licence outlined at http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/3.0/au/legalcode to:
(a) download, remix, alter and re-use the Licenced Conent in your own work for educational and other non-commercial purposes;
(b) share the Licenced Content by copying, distributing and communicating it to others;
(c) attribute the author of the Licenced Content as outlined under the above linked licence terms.
